A second dwelling on an acreage property in Chirnside Park, this partially renovated, original farm cottage had sat mostly vacant for a number of years, generating no income before deciding to Airbnb the residence. The owners did not want to lease the property to a long term tenant as they live a few hours away and used the cottage for their own accommodation needs when in town. Wheel Property listed the property for short term accommodation and within 3 days of the listing going live, it was leased for a period of 30 days generating over $8000 in income for the owners.
A second dwelling on a hobby farm, this converted barn is located on the owners property and was previously used to accommodate family guests. The owner requested Wheel Property to list the home on Airbnb during the periods when it is not in use. Even though the owner blocks off days when the accommadation is not available, it is still generating an average of $2000 per month in extra income.
